How To Add Fixed Number of Posts on Blogger Label Search Pages

Share this:

As a blogger, it is very important you categorize your posts with the use of LABELS. Some bloggers are used to the use of "http://domainname.com/search/label/label_name" to categorize. The disadvantage here is, if you had 50 posts with the label "Travel". All posts will be listed in one page. You can imagine how stressful that would be for your readers to go through. There are ways you can set number of posts, with a label, per page. You can either automate it or do it manually.

The below tutorials will explain it better.

1. Login to Blogger dashboard.

2. Click Template.

3. Click "Edit HTML" tab (using the new blogger dashboard).

4. Click and hold Ctrl F together to pop up the search box. Find Code expr:href='data:label.url'

5. You may find the above code in different places in your template. Replace the above code with following code in all the places:

expr:href='data:label.url + "?max-results=10"'

6. You can change max-results=10 for the number of posts you want to display on label search page.

7. Click SAVE TEMPLATE buttons, and wait until your template is saved. Now visit your blog and click to visit a label with posts more than 10.

8. Also, you can manually set label links in sidebar/menu as - http://yourwebsitename.com/search/label/labelname?max-results=10
